Robert Kenneth Foust

Robert Kenneth Foust, 68, of Granbury, passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2018.  Graveside service: 11:00 AM, Friday, December 14, 2018, Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.   

Robert was born on December 3, 1949 in Sweetwater, Texas to John and Catherine Foust.  He proudly served in the United States Navy and the United State Marine Corps as a sharp shooter during the Vietnam War.  He worked as a tool specialist in the oil field.  He was an active member of Granbury Baptist Church. 

Robert married Kimberly on September 7, 2013 in Granbury, Texas.  He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter.

Robert is survived by his wife: Kimberly Foust, daughter: Amy Ward and husband Brian, stepchildren: Chelsie Holt and Robert Holt, grandchildren: Courtney Foust, Sean Ward, and Seth Ward, great-granddaughter: Rainee, three brothers, one sister and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. 


Marvin A. Jones

Marvin A. Jones, 83, of Granbury, passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2018.  Graveside service: 2:00 PM, Sunday, December 9, 2018, Santo North Cemetery. 

Marvin was born on October 27, 1935 in Lone Camp, Texas to James and Minnie Jones.  He worked as a supervisor at Bell Helicopter and retired after many years.  He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and he cherished the time he spent with his family. Marvin loved fishing, boating, water sports, and traveling. 

Marvin is survived by his wife, Beth Jones, children: Carla Bandera, Stacie Nutt and Shari Purselley, grandchildren: Jessica and husband Cole, Amanda and husband Justin, Chase and wife Jess, Tyler, and Kyli, great-grandchildren: Jaden, Jaxon, Jenna, Austin, and McKenzie, sisters: Linnie Spinks and husband Vaughan and Sharon Thomas and several nieces, nephews and friends.

Mitchell Dale Brown

Mitchell Dale Brown, 24, of Granbury, passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2018.  A private memorial service will be held to fulfill his wishes. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mitchell Dale Brown Suicide Prevention, P.O. Box 1512, Granbury, Texas 76048. 

Mitchell was born on December 28, 1993 in Dallas, Texas to Dale and Joni Brown. He was a senior at Tarleton State University. He was a compassionate, generous spirit, and cared deeply for those who were less fortunate than himself. Mitchell enjoyed nature and spending time outdoors.    

Mitchell is survived by his parents: Dale and Joni Brown, grandparents: John and Janie Hollowell of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Roger and Anna Brown of Granbury, Texas, aunt: Lisa Buchanan and husband Rees, uncle: John Hollowell and wife Martha, cousins: Brittney, Grant, Alyssa, Christian and Cameron, the extended Hirschey and Brown families, and many special friends that provided love and support throughout his life. 

Billy Wells Holt

Billy Wells Holt, 91, of Granbury, passed away December 7, 2018.

Born March 9, 1927 in Saginaw, Texas, to Lee Juett and Lorene Holt, Bill grew up in Fort Worth. He retired as postmaster for the U.S. Postal Service in 1982. He was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Navy, seaman first class from 1944–1946; owned/operated Irving Window Cleaning Company for 25 years; a member of Masonic Lodge, First Presbyterian Church in Granbury serving as elder from 1982–1988; and the Indian Harbor Volunteer Fire Department.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Dee Holt, daughters Jan Massengale (Marlin), Jimmie Young (Mansel), Becca Burgin, Rebecca Hertz and Tami McConnell (James), 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Jennie Lou Calcagno, brother, Charles Holt, granddaughter, Christi Norton, great-grandson, Callum Dodson, and son-in-law, Danny Burgin.

A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church in Granbury on Wednesday, Dec. 19 at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, 202 W. Pearl St., Granbury, Texas 76048, or a charity of your choice.

Stanley Louis Lippincott

Stanley Louis Lippincott, of Granbury, passed away early Wednesday morning, Dec. 12, 2018 at a local hospital. Memorial Service: 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15 at Wiley Funeral Home Chapel, Granbury.

He leaves behind his childhood love of his life, Carol, after being married 30 years.

He was born in Salem, NJ and lived in the same house in Pennsville, NJ. until he went to work with DuPont. He graduated from Salem High School, graduated from Bucknell University with a degree in Chemistry and belonged to the Delta Upsilon fraternity there. He worked summers at DuPont, Chambers Works.  He worked for DuPont from 1952-1988.  During that time he traveled extensively for the company and lived in Brazil for a couple years.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.  He is survived by his two children Alisa Morkides, husband Chris Morkides and daughter Kina from Delaware and Stephen Lippincott of Oregon and son Aaron from Austrailia. He also has three stepsons, Barry Chaikin, Karl Chaikin and Scott Chaikin all in Dallas and granddaughter Kayla Chaikin.

His big passion in life was baseball.  He and Carol attended Spring Training for over 25 years every March.  He has an extensive baseball card collection and other baseball memorabilia.  He always enjoyed the month of August in Grand Cayman, snorkeling and reading, reading, reading.  He also enjoyed playing Hand and Foot with friends every week. He fell in love with Carol’s collies and they had several through the years. His favorite was Toby.

DuPont sold their explosives business to Explosives Technology International, Inc in January 1988. He was instrumental in developing the information leading to the sale.  He served as Planning and Development Director for ETI until August 1988.

After retiring he co-founded Explosives Educational Services Inc. serving as Managing Director since its inception. Director of International Society of Explosives Engineers for eight years and Charter member of the ISEE Lone Star Chapter Managing Editor of the ISEE Blaster’s Handbook.  He was awarded the Distinguished Service Award Service Award (ISEE’s highest honor)

He belonged to Friends of the Library, the Historical Society, the Opera Guild, Granbury Brigade,Christmas for Children  and Kiwanis.  He was an Eagle Scout.  He enjoyed being active in the community, and loved living on the lake with the ever changing scenery and he loved living in Granbury.

He was preceded in death by his parents Stanley L. and Clara Mulford Lippincott.
